Get StartedYour First Donation Visit
Your first donation takes about two hours and here is what you can expect:
- Verify Documentation
- Answer Questionnaire
- Physical Examination
- First Donation Completed
- You’re Compensated!
After all three documents are verified, a state-issued ID, like a driver’s license, proof of your social security number, and proof of your address, our staff will review your medical history and conduct a physical examination to ensure you are eligible to donate.
Once a donor is accepted, our experienced phlebotomists prepare the plasma collection device, known as a plasmapheresis machine, with a new, sterile kit. We remove only the plasma from your blood before sending it to a lab for processing. Lab testing ensures that it is safe to use in life-saving medicines for patients in emergency care, fighting bleeding disorders, or suffering from other medical conditions.
