Every time you visit Freedom Plasma, you can make a difference in the lives of others. Compensation for your time and plasma is just one way we can say “thank you for helping others live happier, healthier lives!”

Pre and Post Donation Tips

Prepare for your next plasma donation:

  • Like blood donations, we conduct a vitals check. To ensure you have enough red blood cells to donate safely, we recommend eating a full, healthy meal within 2 hours of your appointment.
  • Try to avoid sodium-rich, fatty foods which can increase the presence of lipids in your blood cells.
  • Staying hydrated is key to making the process faster - in addition to water, we recommend fruit juice to boost your vitamin C!
  • To avoid dehydration, our donors should avoid alcohol 24 hours before the appointment and caffeine the day of.
  • Get plenty of sleep!
